Well Being/
Mana Atua

Belonging/Mana
Whenua

Kamila has
been enjoying
experiences
around
nutrition as
she discovers
how diet can
promote her
health while
feeling
empowered.

Kamila
demonstrates great
courage and
curiosity at AnNur which is excellent. Kamila enjoys
sharing things from home while
strengthening connections between home,
school and the wider community.

Contribution/
Mana
Tangata
Kamila is
showing more
responsibility
for her peers
and own learning/involvement throughout the
program. It is great to see Kamila find ways
be involved while protecting others chances
to take leaderships this takes a great deal of
responsibility.

Exploration/
Mana
Aotroa
Kamila
enjoys
making
working
theories of
her world,
with a strong
interest in nature at this time. This interest
has strengthened her friendship with Alanzo
and Musa.

Communi
cation/
Mana
Reo
Kamila is
a very
confident
young girl
with English language and some simple Te
Reo and Arabic. Kamila is beginning to use
language to direct dramatic play as opposed
to only responding. This supports her
nonverbal skills around feelings/emotions
and pro-social strategies.
As evident in her stories/assessments, Kamila
has made great progress this term with
responding to uncertainty. Kamila is more
focused on improving herself and using her
interests rather than receiving praise to define
her. This has helped immensely with her
confidence and ability to preserve with
difficulty or uncertainty I would like to
continue focusing on this more and extending
the length of her activities/projects she sees
through to the end.
Kamila will have a new sibling very soon,
her friend Nusayba is leaving for Malaysia
and Kamila is preparing for the transition to
primary school. We are confident Kamila
will breeze through these changes, we will
however ensure boundaries are maintained
and regular routines to support her. It is

lovely to see her role playing about babies

with her brother Khalid in the afternoons.
We will continue supporting her transition to
primary school (following 3+ step
instructions, sitting for longer periods,
holding pencil, recognising name, simple
literacy and mathematics, responsibility and
perseverance) and this term start including
her in school visits.
