Show us how the people of Kedah have made a difference to the world and taken their place in the global community. ‘WHO IS ELIGIBLE? KIPA is an open award for both Malaysian and Intemational participation. By entering the awards, participants agree to abide by the following rules. Entries will remain open until 31st of December, 2013. You are encouraged to include the hashtag #ExperienceKedah on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc WHAT ARE THE CATEGORIES? Professional Category (Open) ~ are photos taken by professional photographers which fit the subject of Kedah or Kedah in the global community and submitted under the photo trail categories Amateur / Student Category (Open) ~ are photos taken by amateur photographers or students which ft the subject of Kedah ‘orkedah in the global community and submitted under the photo ‘ail categories, KIPA Photo Trail Categories - are photos which fitinto one of the following sub categories. History of Kedah ~ Kedah is the site of the old structures in Southeast Asia but what else can you find? HiTech Kedah ~ Capture the development of Kedah from Kulim HiTech to institutions of higher education to the latest green technology Regal Kedah ~ Explore the role and impact of the Royal Family has had on Kedah history Rivers and Lakes - Discover a unique lake on an island or a huge water system that Kedah has so much Mountains ~ Keclah's mountains hold some hidden gems and amazing views of the low lands The Sea: Above & Below ~ Kedah's marine park, the beaches or underwater Food - A reflection of Kedah's diversity and its people Faces of the Kampong ~ These are the many faces of Kedah, real, alive and with many a tale to tell Rice fields - There are more to the iconic rice fields than greens Birds - Kedah isa haven for bird lovers. They are everywhere in the ‘mountains, over the ocean and inthe fields Devoted Kedah — Places of worship such as the mosques, Thal ‘temples, Hindu temples, Chinese temples and churches SUBMITTING IMAGES You can enter up to 3 photographs per entry. If you wish to enter ‘more photographs, you can submit a new entry form. Note that the photographs will be judged as single images. Single images are individual, stand-alone photographs. ‘Mailec-in entries must be accompanied by an entry form and. photographs. You can also submit your photographs via online to experiencekedah@gmail.com and then tell us the story behind the image in 100 words orless. No entry will be processed unless the entry fee is attached or hhas been pre-paid. Work submitted without proper form and. payment will be disqualified. KIPA retains the right to refuse any entry for any reason, We recommend that you make your final decision on which. photographs you are going to enter before you submit them to the competition. if your photograph(s) is shortlisted, then please submit images in high resolution JPEG with minimum, dimensions of 2400 x 3600 at 300dpi, EXIF data of each, submitted image must not be removed. Images that are submitted with EXIF data removed will automatically be rejected, Ideally, send us JPEG files of between 305MB per image. COPYRIGHT & PERMISSIONS By submitting images to KIPA, you confirm and warrant that: -Youare the sole author/owner of each entry. -You have received any necessary permission from the owner(s) of property included in submitted images for the sage rights required by KIPA. You will be responsible for any claim by any third party in respect of your entry.
