The purpose of this project is to utilize the techniques learned in Math 1040 in order
to statistically analyze data and solve problems regarding information gathered
from a number of bags of Skittles.

Skittles Project Part II
The graphs werent what I expected to see. Before I was exposed to the class
data, I only had my own sample to go off of, so I thought the class sample would
follow roughly the same proportions. My bag of Skittles does not show any pattern
similar to the overall class sample. My samples largest from smallest is Orange,
Green, Yellow, Red, and Purple. The class samples is: Purple, Green, Yellow, Red,
Orange.

Organizing and Display of Quantitative Data

Mean: 60.778
Standard Deviation: 2.98
Minimum: 55
First Quartile: 59
Median: 61
Third Quartile: 62
Maximum: 67

Categorical data is when information is grouped together according to

property. Quantitative data sorts information by their numbers. Pie charts are great
for quantitative data, while bar graphs are well suited for categorical data.
Calculations such as the mean, median, first quartile, third quartile, etc., does not
make sense for categorical data.
