and Osiris.

Egyptians believe that the sun was his right eye and
the moon his left.

He was well-know as the protector of the ruler of

Appearance.

In a fight with Seth for the throne of Egypt, Horus

lost one eye and it was restored to him and became a symbol
of protection.
Horus was occasionally shown in art as a naked boy with a
finger in his mouth sitting on a lotus with his mother.
