    Subject Area: Graphing
    Activity: The students will be given functions to graph and use Desmos to graph
    them. The goal is to give them practice with quadratic, cubic, and exponential
    functions.

    How it Works: This app uses a powerful and blazingly-fast math engine, the
    calculator can instantly plot any equation, from lines and parabolas up through
    derivatives. It offers data tables and even uploads images.

    Cost: The app and website for Desmos is completely free.
    Why: I chose this technology because I have used it and am still using it and it has
    helped tremendously. It provides clear graphs and even allows you to set how big
    or small you want the graphing scale to be. Also, you learn how each of the
    functions work when you graph them rather than just graphing them by hand or on
    a small graphing calculator.
