Career Research Guide Worksheet

Make sure you have completed the career exploration and have a good idea of the career that interests you!

Use point form or sentences. Make sure it is in our OWN words! Do

not copy from the Internet.
Your job title (be specific): Technologist
Job overview/What they do (Provide a paragraph description of the job. What would a typical day
on the job look like?):
A technologist is a job where you assist architects, help with drafts and many other
features. The typical day would be just the same as an architects and they do the
same amount the work as one.
Working conditions (Hours you can expect to work? Risk of injuries? Time of day/time of year?
Indoors/outdoors? Clothing required? Etc): This paragraph is from my Plan A, because
they have the same descriptions, hours, dress codes. The hours are normally basic
office hours. In the office there is no risk of injuries at all, but if you're on a job site
then that changes majorly. The work is usually morning till night and it's all year
round. Although you mostly work indoors, you go outdoors on occasion. The dress
code all depends on the firm, some may require you to dress formally but not all are
like this.

Salary (what wage can you expect to earn?):

C$39,480 - C$77,392

with an average wage of around $54,000

Future outlook (will this job be in demand in the future? Why/why not?):
I dont believe that the job of an technologist would have a major demand, but I think
that there will be a more demand for architects.
