Research Objectives/Study Objectives:

First two things:

1) You are applying for a course that required some technical and reseach objectives then you
explain them with proper way.
2) Generally applying like in Fulbright, then you simply share your future objectives.

There is always to do in study objectives. To do is a noun, and you should know what exactly you want
to do. Explain your reach objectives in this way that you are perfectly highlighting why you are applying.
What’s your approach? Research or applied. Demonstrate it with relevant experiences.

 Basically research objective or study objectives are your Explanatory and narrative of what you
do and what will you do.
 Clear you potential with related programs.
 What exactly you want to study in this program.
 OR helps the committee to understand how much you are actually familiar with the program
how much you are realistic.
 Do not write anything irrelevant OR about something that you are having no idea about how to
do it.
 You must know that how to raise your bar or maintained it by the use of technical terms.

Components:
 Basic difference in Study objectives and research objective is the Content rather than the
structure.
 We focus on “applied learning” in study objectives. What exactly in the form of solution you’ll
provide.

Example: Suppose I choose MS in human resource management.

First you’ll explain that you have seen some kind of problem for example how money acts as motivator
for people. Tell them you have studies and worked on this specific things to get insides of the issue. Now
demonstrate and relate you programed with the final solution. What will you learn and how you’ll
generate a solution.

 Study objectives are always read by people related to your field unlike SOP. So, use technical
terms where it is needed.
Structure:
 No paragraphs
 Always mention everything in numbers
 Generally, we also do not use headings in the structure but if you study is multidimensional then
you can add headings to explain two different field’s work. Like you can explain under one
heading what you want to study in electronics and in other what you are planning to do in
mechanics.
 Always relate to why you want to study
 Post-docs research objectives never gives instead solution of any problem. You may takes 10-20
years to come up with some reliable solution of your problems.
 Fulfil knowledge gap of the world. Sometimes, we don’t solve a problem directly but you can
explain how you can work on it.
 Show your purpose is that you want to solve real world problem.
 Always write your objectives in descending order.
 Design your document with respect to the program.

How you can do it?

 In introduction, explain your problem or area of research.

 Explain how you will work on it
 Explain how this course will going to help you.
 You should tell your story and how are going to solve it

Don’t make your research or study objectives attractive at cost of your incompetency.

 You should be very well aware of your future Purpose and always write about the consequences
in such a way that it will directly relate to your program.
 Suppose if you are working in agricultural sector then first of all write the problem, then explain
how you will solve it. Demonstrate methods and strategies. HOW PART IS VERY IMPORTANT.
 As a dedicated professional you should write them down, not as a patriotic.
 You can create and show relevancy by giving examples of other countries. It can add up some
value.
 Always add references.
 Clear objectives and highly technical.
 It should be highly cleared from your content that what exactly you are looking for.
 Tone should be professional and technical instead of emotional and too motivated.
 Dilute your content
 You thoughts should be clearly aligned with the program.

YOU CAN NOT USE THE SAME RESEACH/STUDY PROGRAMS FOR DIFFERENT APPLICATION. AS THEY
DIFFERER IN COURSE STRUCTURE AND APPLIED APPROACHES. IF YOU ARE SURE ENOGH ABOUT THE
COURSE STRUTURE AND THEY ARE SIMILAR THEN YOU CAN SEND.
(I missed it)

I only remember few points.

 Always mention your education first then experience. But suppose you have completed your
degree 8 or 9 years ago then you should add experience first. Aslo see what your main strength.
Like if you have only two years of experience, then do not mention it.
 Always add picture in formal dress. Not a selfie
 Do not mention your local home address. Only country is enough. City is not bad to mention,
you can.
 Stay relevant, only add your program related experiences.
 There is no introduction in academic resume
 Use full name as in your passport.
 Date of birth is optional. Prefer format is 3rd June, 1992.
 Don’t mention career or academic objectives also.
 Mention most recent job or educational degree and keep this order.
 Do not use abbreviations and initials.
 Grade level and percentile level should be clear. (3.9/4.00)
I know I should have note them down too.
