The topic I want to focus on is the opinion of the Catholic church

on marriage of priests.
I wish to do this subject because I want o know why priests
cannot be married, and if there is a possibility that they will be

able to marry in the future.

I think it is a big deal to priests. They live a holy life of example
to others, and are generally outstanding human beings, but can

never experience the sacrament of Holy Matrimony.

Honestly I know nothing of the subject besides priests not being
able to marry. I know there is a certain type of religious figure

that can, but I do not know the title.

I want to know what are the privileges of each different religious
figure in the church, and why some are allowed marriage and
others not. I expect I will find my answers both through research,
mainly online, and if the opportunity presents itself, asking

Father Winslow.
I think my idea is worthy because it relates to my practicum, and
in todays world is a realistic topic that is actually being

discussed.
What I hope to gain is the knowledge behind what led to the
decision of chastising priests, and what began the revolution of
changing that. I want to know the reasons for both, and their

origin.
My back up plan is to focus on the small, yet in some case not
good reputation of priests and past actions. When some people
think Catholic priest they relate it to sexual abuse of children,

and I want to really show how small of the percentage of all

priests have done this, and how it doesnt only apply to Catholics
specifically. It is a horrible stereotype, and it disgusts me when a
couple rotten eggs changed the outlook on an entire group of
men.
