What is curriculum?
Any document or plan that exists in a
school or school system that defines
the work of teachers.
Guides educators in identifying the
context of the material to be taught
Eg: textbooks, resource materials,
sequence charts and etc.

Types of curriculum
Formal curriculum-appears in state
regulations, curriculum guides or
officially sanctioned scope and
sequence charts
Informal curriculum-unofficial aspects
of designing or delivering the
curriculum
