Incessant Expectation

I wear the mask that is always learning.

For education, I will forever be yearning.
A festive heart is hidden evermore,
In order to achieve the perfect score.
Why does the world expect this of us?
Letting loose here and there is a must.
No, society will constantly say,
The path to success dictates only one way.
I study, but this gives me no pleasure.
My desire for fun has no measure.
I achieve, but the consequence is bleak.
My fate is a long road and its making me weak.
Humankind is fervently oblivious to their oppression,
So I wear the mask that eludes to a qualified profession.
