Dr. Cindy Seipel:

Please consider this letter of application for the Master of Accountancy Program at New Mexico
State University. I am aware of the increased knowledge base required for accounting
professionals today. I have carefully considered my options. Your graduate program has been
highly recommended by professors and former students. With one of the highest CPA pass rates
in the state, I am confident in the commitment of the NMSU Master of Accountancy (MAcc) to
provide the technical and theoretical foundation necessary for success as a professional
accountant.
My goal is to enter the NMSU Master of Accountancy Program simultaneously with the
completion of the Bachelor of Accountancy at New Mexico State University. While working on
my undergraduate program, I have acquired the necessary skills to be prepared for the MAcc. I
began my studies by pursuing a degree in mathematics. Upon further consideration of my future
goals, transfer to the College of Business became a custom fit. My competency in mathematics
has been instrumental in my success as an accounting student, culminating in a current GPA of
3.95. I am committed to continuing this high quality performance as a graduate student.
Future endeavors include my vision to become an active and collaborative graduate student in
your program. I am committed to New Mexico State University for my continued path to
success. As noted in my resume, I am an entrepreneur and sole proprietor of RL Jenkins Equine,
a steadily growing business for equine training and sales. In combination with my
apprenticeship experiences both in the United States and abroad, I have gained expertise in
recruiting clients, teaching students, business management and finance, and customer service. I
am eager to share these skills as I interact with, and contribute to, the NMSU College of
Business. As a graduate student, I am ready to support faculty with instruction, become involved
in tutoring, and be of service with student recruitment, retention, and advising.
With my educational background and business experience, I am confident of my success in the
NMSU Master of Accountancy Program. I have a solid work ethic and am known for my
attention to detail. My mantra is, dont just try your best, do your best! My leadership style is
soft spoken and professional, leading by example within a team. I look forward to your
acceptance of my application, to continuing my studies here at NMSU, and to contributing to the
program as I receive a quality education moving me forward into a future career as a Certified
Public Accountant.
Sincerely,

Ruby Jenkins
