Afghan Biscuits

Ingredients:
225g flour
75g caster sugar
200g butter
25g cocoa powder
50g cornflakes
Chocolate icing to decorate
Walnut halves to decorate
Preparation:
Soften the butter in a microwave.
Add the sugar and beat to a creamy texture.
Add flour, cocoa and cornflakes. Mix well.
Spoon the mixture in small lumps onto a greased tray and flatten slightly.
Bake for 15 minutes at 180C.
Remove from the oven and place on a cooling rack.
When cold, add chocolate icing and a walnut half on top.
Cheese Biscuits
Ingredients:
225g flour
120g mature cheese
80g butter
1 egg yolk
Cayenne pepper
Preparation:
Grate the cheese.
Mix the flour with the cheese.
Gently rub in the butter, add a seasoning of cayenne and add the beaten egg yolk.
Mix until you create a paste. If the mixture is too dry, add a drop of milk.
Roll out thinly and cut into shapes.
Bake in a hot oven (200C) for five minutes.
Peanut Butter Cookie
Ingredients:
0.5 cup of peanut butter
1 cup of sugar
0.5 cup of butter or margarine, melted
1 egg
0.5 tsp of vanilla
1.25 cup of all-purpose flour
1 tsp of salt

1 teaspoon of baking powder


Chocolate chips
Preparation:
Preheat the oven to 150C.
Mix the sugar, melted butter, egg, and vanilla until creamy and smooth. Add peanut butter
and mix.
Add flour, salt and baking soda to the mixture. Add chocolate if using.
Flatten small pieces into cookie shapes and place on non-greased baking pan 2 inches
apart.
Bake for 15 minutes, or until golden brown. Turn halfway through.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool. If using chocolate chips, press them on the stillsoft tops of the cookies and let them cool.
