    Asachild,Ialwayspicturedmyselfbeingsomethingofafamoussinger,doctor,or
    dentist.Aschildren,wethesearethecareerswearejustplacedinto,andthatwewillenjoyour
    careersfortherestofourlives.However,itisaveryrareoccurrencethatchildrendreamof
    goingintoone'scareer,andfulfillthatdream.Wealmostalwaysgothroughmiddleschooland
    middleschoolandslowlyfilteroutthecareerswethoughtwewantedtogointo.Youeventually
    findoutthatyouareafraidofneedlesandblood,takingthemedicalcareeroffofyourcareer
    wishlist.Youlaterrealizetheextentofyoursingingcareerisyousigningatthetopofyourlungs
    inthecar.Afteralloftheserealizations,youaresuddenlyhitwithafeelingofcontentmentand
    comfortabilitywhenyouthinkofacareerthatperfectlyfitsyouandyourtalents.Ifeltthis
    feelingmyjunioryearofhighschool.
    IamheavilyinvolvedintheagriculturalFFAprogramatmyhighschool.Ihaveraised,
    shown,andsold4swineprojects,beenenrolledinmanyAgriculturalcoursesthroughouthigh
    school,andreceivedaGoldAwardformyswineproductionagriculturalproject.Throughoutmy
    yearsinFFA,IhaverealizedwhatIneededtopursueinmylife.
    IknewIwantedtoremainapartoftheagriculturalfield,butneversawmyselfasa
    farmerordairyman.However,muchoftheworlddoesnotrealizethattherearethousandsof

    careersintheagriculturalfieldthatdonotincludegrowingcornormilkingcows.Icametothe
    realizationthatIwantedtopursueacareerinwhichIhavealreadyhadtheexperienceand
    passionfor.ThecareerofaLargeAnimalVeterinarian.Thiscareeristheperfectmixtureof
    agriculture,animalscience,andexploremypassion.
    UpongraduationfromMercedHighSchool,IwillbeattendingMercedCollege.Inmy
    first2yearsofstudy,IwillpursueanAssociate'sDegree,thentransfertoUniversityof
    California,Davis,whereIwillstudyVeterinaryScience,specializinginLargeAnimal.Iplanto
    studyforamaximumof5years,workingtowardsmydegree.Ithenplantoenterthecareerof
    veterinarianbyworkingatalocalVeterinaryClinicwhereIwillbeliving.Iamveryexcitedto
    seewheremyeducationandcareerwilltakeme,andaboveall,topursuemypassion.
