Mathematics Placement Examination

Welcome to Howard University!

Dear incoming freshmen,
Horray! The updated Math Placement Exam is active. Because it utilizes an
existing system (Blackboard), we could not identify it with this URL. The URL
you must use is http://blackboard.howard.edu/ You will have to log into
Blackboard to access the Math Placement Exam. The instructions for logging in
may be stated on the Blackboard screen, but just in case, but here they are
again: use your Howard ID (without the @ symbol) as a login and birthday
(mmddyy) as a password. Once you are pass the login screen, you will see
Math Placement Exam as hypertext in the green margin on the left side. You
may have to click on that hypertext to see a page of instructions similar to what
was once written here, but they are not the same. To start the test, you will have
to use the hypertext below the instructions at the bottom of the page. Each of
the three parts of the exam are listed as a separate test. Take each test in turn.
Write down you score after taking each test to use in the Recommendation
section at the end. But before you start the exam, PLEASE read the
instructions; they are NOT identical to what was once written here. Thank you
