Background

Location vs. Cost:

The Location of Los Angeles, California would be $47,161 with one year of experience of
Architectural Engineering . While in Austin Texas, An architectural engineer would get paid
$41,436 for one year of experience. Staying in Texas cost of a home would be $1000 and
California would be $13,000 to buy a home. Of course the cost of living would be more, but also
the pay would be higher. The cost of groceries would be 22% more, housing 130% more,
utilities 16% more, Transportation 14% more and healthcare 12% more. If i bought eggs here in
Austin the cost is $2.29 but in Los Angeles its $2.80. In conclusion, if do end up living in
California with a rising education, experience and pay. I first person would be getting more
money, with the same education and experience that I would have in Austin.

Salary vs. Cost:

Receiving Salary in California is higher than Austin by $5,752 in just one year of experience for
Architectural Engineer. As the distance between the two salaries increase, the good news is the
cost of living does not. Getting more experience in Architectural Engineering lowers just in the 34 year experience yet still higher than Austin salary at $4,629, then increasing again its distance
by $7,212 of 7-9 years and $8,422 of 10-14 years. The more I get paid the more extra money I
have to spend. Living in one location and getting a higher pay with years of experience doesn't
change the cost of living it only makes it easier to live. citation

Location vs. Salary:

Living in California and receiving a salary of $47,272-$50,384 with one year of experience
