Describe a place that haunts you ever since you were young.

As a grown up teenager boy, I am actually embarrassed to admit

the fact that I still have chills all over my spine whenever I recalled
about the cemetery not too far away from my grandmothers house
in Malacca. The cemetery has existed way back during the Japanese
occupation in Malaya. According to rumors, that was where the
Japanese tortured the local Chinese who were against them to
death. It was believed that the spirits were still lingering around as
they were unjustly killed.
When I was young, I used to hear ghost stories about the
cemetery from my uncle. My cousins and I were told that the big
tree in the middle of the cemetery was the spot where the local
Chinese were hung. The tree definitely looked eerie and spooky
even from afar. The branches would sway up and down as the wind
blew. The area looked dark and creepy especially at dusk, when the
sky turned darker. Even though the cemetery was isolated, it would
surely attract the passer-bys attention because of this weird looking
tree.
During the school holidays, when my cousins and I were younger,
we stayed at our grandmothers house for a few days. One day, we
decided to get adventurous. Nothing seemed to scare us at that
time. It was around 7.30pm when the sky started to turn dark. We
grabbed a torch light and a stick, and then set off towards the
cemetery. When we reached the place, I felt chill across my spine as
a sudden cool breeze was blowing our way. The tree was there as
usual. However it looked more distinctly during the night.
All of a sudden, one of my cousin started screaming as he saw a
shadow beside the tree. But, none of us saw anything in the
direction that he was pointing. We shone our torch light towards the
tree, yet we saw nothing. In the midst of the commotion, something

dropped down from the tree. At that moment, all of us without any
hesitation, ran as fast as we could without looking behind. At that
moment, I realized what was run for your life all about.
This terrifying experience can never be erased off my mind, and
will always give me the creep whenever I pass by the cemetery.
