SWORD OF HONOUR
In 1989, the British Safety Council awarded the Sword of Honour to Galfar in recognition of
the Company's dedication and its achievements in safety.

Galfar's performance in Health, Safety & Environment-related activities is now legendary!

The Company probably has the highest Safety record in the Middle East. This was made
possible by the total commitment of the Galfar Management and all personnel and a strong
belief that "Safety is a way of life!"
This Newsflash in Shell's EP Safety publication of April, 1987, recognized Galfar's
achievement of 5 Million Accident-Free Man-hours in a wide range of construction activities
for PETROLEUM DEVELOPMENT OMAN (PDO), a Shell-managed company.
