Chiropractors
On a personal note, chiropractics is not the line of work I am aiming for. It is actually
one of the few careers I consider in pursuing. What makes it on the list of careers I am interested
in? It would be the vast knowledge of the human body; the anatomy, physiology, skeletal
system, nervous system. Also, knowledge in manipulating joints, nerves, and some use of
alternative or complementary medicine. They actually use these kind of treatments their patients,
physically adjusting the spine, in which effects the nervous system, tendons, ligaments, and
muscles. Chiropractors center of attention, when working with patients, is the overall health.
Their jobs are not always hands on; they also educate their patients on diets, workouts, sleep, etc.
No day is an ordinary day for a chiropractor; you are constantly on your feet. They are
either examining patients, performing treatments or therapy, giving advice on health,
maintaining, if self-employed, a private practice, or following up on information of new methods
in therapy or the human body. Nothing seems to be old or repetitive. One would further,
increase their education and experience on a daily basis, in which honestly, would be a
prosperous life. Not only I would consider that to be prosperous, the hours are not that bad.
Even though they work full-time in the evenings and weekends, amount of working hours are
about 8 in a single day and 40 a week. This may vary, based on whether you hold a private
practice.

Every occupation, no matter a surgeon or a sanitation engineer, has their very own
specialized skills and abilities, especially when it comes to chiropractics. Chiropractors need to
have the strength and dexterity with their hands when treating a patient. Communication skills is
also a definite need in when questioning patients during an examination or concluding a
diagnosis. Having good, stable physical stamina, even as a chiropractor, is another need, due to
be constantly on their feet. This final skill, more of an attribute, is the ability to accommodate or
be cooperative, in order to help and treat any patient.
Talking about the education process from the start of high school is pretty hefty. Its ideal
that a high school graduate has a good science background, even before entering a college;
passed courses in biology, chemistry, and human anatomy and physiology. Matter in fact, its
possible that those would either would either help during college, or remove any unnecessary
courses in college. Its necessary to have an associate's or bachelors degree in anything thats
science related, before moving on to a chiropractic program. There are 18 campuses accredited
by The Council on Chiropractic Education, such as the Life University and Logan UniversityCollege of Chiropractics. One must get a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from a chiropractic
college, which lasts 4 years in length. A chiropractic student would train in biological and health
sciences, application of chiropractic treatment. (CareerCruising) Some universities allow
chiropractic students, under observation, gain clinical experience. (Bureau of Labor Statistics)
To stay top notch, most, if not all, chiropractors attend seminars to maintain a high level
of ability or skill. Some chiropractors even further their education in other areas that involve
health and other sciences. Most states require a number of hours for continuing education each
year to maintain license.

The working environment is very much mention in the job description and core task
portion of the paper. From what Ive mention before, the working hours vary depending whether
you have you are employed at a public or private practice, or you have your very own as self
employed. Typical work hours are, 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week. Vacation days vary as well,
again, depending on what type of practice you are employed at. Typically, for those who are
employed at a practice, have thirty days a year. Self-employed chiropractors, usually, spend five
days out of the year as vacation days. Most practices would be located in cities and take place
indoors. In a practice, secretaries and other chiropractors are hired to maintain and stabilize it,
and chiropractors work alone when it comes to examining or treating a patient.
A lot of the wages depend on what type of practice a chiropractor may be employed in
and level of experience. Pennsylvania wage range is from 31k to 143k. There are three types of
wages that you may earn, base on your level of experience. At in entry level, one will earn
$26.47 an hour, $55,060 annually, a median wage, it would be $33.81 an hour, $70,330 per year,
and a experience wage at at $42.10 with $87,570 per year. (CareerCruising)
The job demand is at in increase in the next 10-20 years. From 2012-2022 average
growth rate will increase to 15%. The numeric change, increase of employment , would be 6,500.
