• Answering Questions
- Learners will be loaded with specific comprehension
questions.

(i) Questions and answers are straight forward, which are found in the
text, or in a location e.g. a word or a sentence in the passage.

(ii) Questions that require answers which may be located in more than
one place.
(iii) Questions require the learners to use their prior
knowledge or background knowledge to be able to
connect all the pieces of information together to
answer the questions.

(iv) Questions require the learners to think critically and


make deduction as to what suitable answers that are
acceptable and correct.

- Summarizing requires students to determine what is
important in what they are reading and to put it into
their own words. Instruction in summarizing helps
