Dear senator Feinstein,

I have decided to write to you today because my government class has decided to write a letter
to someone who is very active in politics. Something I wanted to bring to your attention was the
topic of the California drought. Many have been concerned for the environmental effect that the
drought will have on the people of California.
I have done some research on what type of some environmental acts you have done within the
past, and it has come to my attention that you are very active in our environment towards the
drought. I have come to learn that you have recently passed the Emergency Drought Relief Act.
I have to say I am very happy that you have decided to bring it to your attention, to do
something about such a drastic topic that will change our world.
Thank you for taking the time out of your day to read my letter, I hope to hear back from you
soon.
