Matthew is an outstanding graduate student completing the advanced certificate music
education program at the Brooklyn College Conservatory of Music.
I have only known Matthew since August of 2014, but in that short time he has impressed
me with his stellar musicianship, his diligence, his commitment to academic study and
his passion for the field of music education. Matthew submits thoughtful and exceptional
work in class. He is a critical thinker who asks brilliant questions and is always eager for
advice to further his teaching and musical pedagogy. In addition, he recently received the
highest score I have heard of on the new edTPA teacher certification exam.
