Handwriting

It is a basic tool used in taking notes, taking tests,

and doing classroom work and homework.
Poor handwriting can have a pervasive effect on
school performance.
Good handwriting always gives an upper hand to
a student, but that doesn't mean that poor
handwriting always costs.
Neat handwriting enable examiner understands
what you have written.

My Emphases -

Handwriting

1. Use pencil.
2. Ensure that it is not blunt.
3. If there is any mistake don't make it look shabby
by scratching it many times; erase it.
4. Always start with capital letters and end with full
stop.
5. Write on the line or slightly above it.
6. Pay attention to the formation and size of the
letters including the word spacing.

Lets Ponder
Tell if you know, ask if you don't.
Duane Alan Hahn

All learning begins with the simple phrase,

"I don't know".

My Emphases -

Grammar

What?
Grammar is the study of the forms of words and
their arrangement in sentence; in short how words
are put together to form sentences.
Why?
People associate grammar with errors and
correctness.
Knowing grammar also helps us understand what
makes sentences and paragraphs clear, interesting
and precise.

My Emphases -

Grammar

The eight traditional parts of speech: Noun (word to name a person, animal, place, thing or abstract idea)
Verb (conveys an action -read, walk, run)
Adjective (giving more information about the object signified)
Adverb (manner - answering the question how?)
Pronoun (substitutes for a noun)
Preposition (show relation between things mentioned in a sentence.
Typically found before a noun, pronoun, or substantives, that explains
about them)

Conjunction (connects two words, sentences, phrases or clauses

together)

Interjection (express an isolated emotion or sentiment. Typically

placed at the beginning of a sentence)

Rote Learning

My Emphases -

Rote Learning

Routine of repetition carried out mechanically or

unthinkingly
Educators today considered it to be out of style,
learning is not taking place and not a productive
learning situation.
The fact is: memorization is not only the easiest
way but also the only way to learn something.
Its purpose is to create automaticity in learning
without much thinking.

IM GLAD
I AM A TEACHER

I would rather be a teacher

than a statesman,
For he deals with finished citizens,
I deal with future citizens.

I would rather be a teacher

than a great business executive,
For he works with facts and figures
and lifeless coins,
but I work with minds that are open,
With the future that unfolds and principles
that grow.

I would rather be a teacher

than a potter,
For he shape vessels of clay,
But I shape destinies.

I would rather be a teacher

than an archaeologist,
For he unearth buried treasure,
But I unearth talent.

I would rather be a teacher

than an explorer,
For he explores uncharted seas,
But I explore uncharted minds
and discover treasure island,
And continents of untold
possibilities.

I would rather be a teacher

than a scientist,
For though he studies
the wonders of rocks,
and the beauty of the stars,
and the miracles of planets
and the glory of the skies,

I deal with that

which is still more miraculous,
In the throbbing human hearts,
unfolding human lives
and the information
of lifetime character.

Im glad and proud

to be a teacher.
Hope you do too.
Have a wonderful and fabulous

Teachers Day
