How Well Do You Know Your Friends?

Suggested Level: A1 - A2
Suggested Procedure:
1) Photocopy the sheet on the next page and distribute to students. Tell students to
complete the sheets by themselves without conversing with their each other. Moreover,
students must not write their names on the sheets.
2) Once finished, assign students to groups of 4 to 6 persons. Collect the sheets and
redistribute them randomly to different members of each group.
3) Each student then takes a turn reading aloud the sheet in front of her. In order to do this,
each reader will have to change the provided sentences from the first person to the third
person, he or she, based on an initial assessment of whether the reader thinks the
owner is male or female. After a student has finished reading, members of the group try
to figure out who the sheet belongs to. Students should be encouraged to support their
opinions.
