*Communism was spreading in Vietnam, U.S. went in to stop it
*Verbal and physical abuse to Vietnam soldiers
*58,000 dead. 600+ P.O.W.
*Vietnamese forests, cities, and populations destroyed

Cold War in Afghanistan


*Communist Soviet Union invaded and took over Afghanistan
*Afghans didnt like this because its laws went against Islam
*Afghans rebelled and U.S. went in to protect against Communism
