The Outsiders

Introduction
Run! Dont turn around Sarah! Run! screamed Jesse
as they sped into the dark
and eerie forest ahead of them. They both ran faster than they had ever run in
their entire lives. Fear struck both of them immensely. It was a feeling that
neither of them had experienced before, a shivering pain in the soul. Sweat and
tears ran down Sarahs cheek. Jesse quickly glanced over his shoulder to see
behind him and the blinding blue light disappeared in between the trees. Maybe
they had outrun them. Maybe they were safe. These thoughts of hope filled his
mind as he and Sarah slowed down and came to a halt, both of them gasping for
air. They crouched in the luscious forest ferns by their feet and hid behind a
large green bush. It was a chilly night in the forest and the fog was beginning to
set in.
I dont wanna die Jesse. I dont wanna die cried Sarah severely. Her eyes filled
with tears and her face was bright red.
Baby, listen to me! Were not going to die here. Okay? Are you hearing me? he
whispered to her as he put his hands on her shoulders and shook her slightly.
Looking deep into her blue frightened eyes, he just wanted to hug her tightly and
never let go. She began to calm down.
Come on Sarah, we have to keep moving he said.
I cant. I cant do it she whimpered.
Sarah! We have to go!.
Jesse saw out of the corner of his eye, the bright blue light was shining. It had
caught up to them.
Oh god, she said.
Again, they began to hear the horrifying groans and screeches of the creatures in
the distance. It was the most vicious noise they had ever heard. Sarah began to
cry again.
Come on!, screamed Jesse as he grabbed her arm violently, pulled her up and
they both began to run again.
Up ahead Sarah heard a noise and all of a sudden a creature jumped out of the
bushes a few feet ahead of her. Frightening her immensely, she tripped over a
rock and rolled down a large hill, knocking her out in the process. In the distance
she heard her name being called out. "Sarah! Sarah!". She could hardly hear it
anymore as she quickly fell asleep.

Graduation
It was graduation day at Albany High School, a bright, sunny Saturday. Sarah

and her boyfriend Jesse stood next to each other holding their diplomas along
with their friends Alex and Sophia as Jesses mom took a picture of them all.
There were bright smiles across all their faces. It was a glorious and
heartwarming day. Everyone hugged their family members and posed for
pictures. Later that day, at the end of the event Jesse, Sarah, Alex and Sophia
planned a trip to a gorgeous cabin off the coast of Oregon, in celebration of the
graduation. They were all looking forward to it.

Road Trip

Alright, is everyone packed up and ready to go? Jesse asked as he started the
jeep and looked around at everyone.
Yeah, its all here Alex said.
Are you sure Alex? Because there has never been a time where we have all gone
somewhere and you havent forgotten something said Sophia. Alex smirked
looking at her.
Were only going to be there for a couple days. If I did forget something, Im
sure Ill survive he replied.
If you say so she said. Sophia and Alex always teased and picked at each other
about the slightest things. They had become friends in 7th grade and there was
always an untalked about chemistry between the two. Jesse always teased Alex
about asking Sophia out, but he just brushed it off. He had a crush on her for the
longest time and he was planning on asking her out Freshman year, but then
Aaron, the captain of the football team got her first. The relationship lasted
almost a year and after the breakup she was a devastated for quite some time. By
then, his feelings for Sophia had faded, but recently he was starting to feel a
connection towards her again. Sarah had asked Sophia what she thought of Alex
and questioned why nothing ever happened between the two after knowing each
other for such a long time. She responded with a conventional I dont know.
Alright lets get this show on the road Sarah said excitedly.
Jesse put on his sunglasses and drove the jeep out of his driveway.
The cabin was about five hours away and they would arrive later that night.

Arrival
How much longer, Jesse? asked Sarah as she looked over to him.
A few minutes he answered.
Thank god Sophia said, sounding relieved.
Dont worry guys. It looks awesome up there. The cabin is huge and there's a
beautiful lake in the back , Jesse said.
It sounds amazing! Sophia replied ecstatically. The jeep drove on a long
highway with deciduous trees on both sides of the road covering everything. They
hadnt passed by a car in miles. The cabin was located deep in the woods. It was
almost as if it had its own isolated world. On the right side of the road there was a
little dirt path with a mailbox right by its side. Jesse pulled into it and began
driving the one and a half mile it took to get to the cabin. The path was narrow
but most vehicles could fit right through it. There were large trees and grasses on
each side. Sophia looked out the jeep and saw an orange butterfly with black
edges on the end of a flower. The road for the most part was flat with a few bumps
here and there.
The jeep approached a water fountain centered in the middle of the front yard
with the large brown colored cabin behind it. The cabin was two stories with two
huge, clear windows in front and a smaller rectangular window on each side. The
structure was built on a stretched out ledge with stairs going down to the bottom.

Wow this place is sick dude! Alex said in astonishment.

I know man. When I get old and retire this is where Im going to spend the rest
of my days, living in a quiet paradise Jesse said.
It looks beautiful, baby said Sarah, kissing her boyfriend.
Sophia walked around the fountain with a smile on her face, then she proceeded
to run up the stairs in excitement.
I want to see the inside of the place!, she said cheerfully on the ledge. The
others walked up the stairs and Jesse unlocked the door. Wow! she gasped.
Jesse, why havent you ever shown us this place before?
I was going to, but I thought it would be a better idea to save it for this.
Alex walked around the large living room that contained a comfortable looking
couch, admirable chairs, and a large flat screen tv that hung from the wall.
Guys, check out the view said Jesse, as he pointed to the two large windows in
the back wall of the cabin. For a moment no one said anything as the four friends
stared out at the beautiful sunset setting down over the mountains, overlooking
the glossy lake, behind the cabin. It was a breathless moment.
Sarah walked towards the front door. Come on, lets go unload the bags before
it gets dark.

Nightfall
It was about 9 oclock when the sky became fully dark outside. Jesse and Sarah
had snuck out and wandered out into the woods nearby to go on a little hike. The
sky was as clear as ever. The moon and stars shined brightly across them as they
continued to walk.
Alex and Sophia were back at the cabin. The living room was lightly colored with
the yellow orange light of some lamps they had turned on. Sophia opened the
sliding door that led to the backyard.
Wow doesnt the lake look beautiful?, she said charmingly.
Yeah.. it does, he replied, anxiously. Alex was getting nervous. He had realized
that he was starting to get feelings for Sophia again. He was confused. Should he
ask her out? Try some moves on her? He didnt know what to do and he certainly
didnt want to scare her by doing anything she would find peculiar.
So, do you want to go for a swim? Sophia asked charmingly with a smile as she
looked at him.
Ok, she definitely had something going on, thought Alex. No female would just
ask any male to go for a swim the way she just did. They were alone, the setting
was romantic. She definitely wanted him. He just didnt know how to approach
the situation.
Well, do
you
want to swim?, he replied.
I do but only if you come with me.
A-Alright.
Ok. Wait here a sec, Ill go change into my bikini.
Oh great, he thought. She was going to get into a bikini. He was starting to get
nervous but ecstatic at the same time. Alex went and changed into his swimshorts
and waited for Sarah outside near the lakes dock. Many things were wandering
through his mind. He heard the sliding door open and turned around to see
Sophia coming out. She slowly ran passed him, smiling and jumped into the water.
Are you coming in or what? she said giggling. The water feels so good!
Alex stood there for a second and just smiled at her, then he proceeded to get into
the fresh cool water.

The Hike
Jesse nervously clutched the engagement ring in his pocket. He was beginning to
tense up. He and Sarah were enjoying a nice hike up the nearby hill not far from
the cabin. It was the perfect setting to propose to his significant other that he had
known since he was a kid. It was long ago that he realized Sarah was the person
he wanted to spend his life with. Jesse had been planning the moment for a long
time but he didnt know when was a good time to do it. The temperature felt just
right, the moon shined into the trees and the trail they were on. The stars
sparkled in the night sky, and they were about to approach a bench a little
towards the edge of the hill that overlooked the large cabin, along with the lake
and all the surrounding trees. Jesse walked Sarah over to the bench and they sat
down. Was this the moment to do it? Should he? He knew he wanted to spend the
rest of his life with the beautiful girl right next to him, but these questions were
still swimming in his mind.
Hey, are you ok? You look a little stiff Sarah said.
Haha, yeah Im fine. What about you? Are you having a good time?
Yeah. Its beautiful out here, and so quiet too. Thank you for bringing us out
here she said and then kissed him.
Listen Sarah. I want to talk to you about something. Weve know each other for
such a long time. I just want to tell you, Ive been so incredibly happy because of
you and Ive been wanting to ask you this question for quite some time. Now I
know were young and were going to be doing different things later on, but I
know this can work Without hesitation, he got up from the bench, pulled the ring
out of his pocket, and got on one knee.
Oh my god, she whispered, excitedly. Sarah's face turned bright red, causing
Jesse to let out a big smile.
Sarah, will you marry me?
Oh god. Yes! Yes!, she said hysterically. Yes!
Jesse slipped the ring onto her warm trembling finger. He looked up at her face
and saw that she was beginning to cry. He got up, hugged her and kissed her. They
looked at each others eyes deeply.
I love you so much she said, still crying.
Come on lets head on back.Alex and Sophia are going to be wondering where
we went.
The happy couple proceeded down the trail, back to the cabin.

The Cabin
Sarah and Jesse walked into the bright cabin, noticing most of the lights were
turned on

Guys? he called out. Hello? There was pure silence.

I dont think theyre in here said Sarah.
Suddenly there was a noise from the sliding door. It was Alex, coming inside with
Sophia and they were both holding their towels.
There you guys are! Sarah couldnt keep her excitement in and told them the
news. Were engaged! she said, enthusiastically as she showed them the
beautiful, silver diamond ring.
Ahhh thats so great! Sophia responded, happily.
Did you guys know about this? Sarah asked.
Yeah, hes been planning it for a while Alex said smiling. Congratulations
man! The two friends gave each other a handshake and a quick hug. This calls
for a celebration!
Alex ran over to the large bag he brought with all his items inside, and pulled out
a six pack of canned beer. He got one out for himself and the rest. Everyone said
Cheers! all at once and clinked their drinks together. There were bright faces all
around the four friends.
You guys went swimming? asked Jesse.
Yeah, the water felt great! You guys gotta go in later!, said Sophia.
Tomorrow, its getting late Jessie replied. Theres a couple canoes in the shed
down by the lake. I was thinking we could all go row up the river. It leads to this
pretty huge waterfall and it looks fantastic.
Sounds like a good time Alex said. The girls walked away into the hallway,
carrying their bags to put into their bedrooms.
Hey, theres only two rooms Jesse said looking at Sophia. So you and Alex will
have to share.
Oh great she replied, smirking at Alex.
No, its fine Ill crash on the couch.
Things got a little awkward for a second, but everyone shrugged it off and the
girls went to unpack their bags.
Jesse quickly turned to Alex and playfully smacked him on the shoulder with his
backhand.
Dude what was that? Jesse asked laughing.
What was what? he responded with a shrill voice.
What do you mean what? That whole awkward thing that just happened. What
were you guys doing out in the lake?
We didnt do anything. Anything at all. Just swimming.
And..?
Well we did kind of make out
Aaha! I knew it. So what are you guys doing now? Just hooking up? You like her,
huh?
I dont know man. Things just sort of happened Alex said laughing.
The two friends continued their youthful conversation for a few more minutes
before everyone went to sleep.

Sunrise

At around 7 am the next morning, the friends hit the river in the canoes. Sophia

rowed with Alex and Jesse rowed with Sarah.

How far away is the waterfall asked Sarah.
Its about an hour away Jesse said.
Jeez, thats a lot of rowing Sophia said already sounding tired.
Whats the matter? Are you not up for it? Jesse said smiling at her.
Im
so
up for it she replied, as she got into the canoe, grabbing the oars.
Alex jumped into the canoe, causing it to almost tip Sophia over into the water.
Alex, watch it! she yelled, laughing it off.
Alright lets get going, it looks beautiful out here! said Sarah.
Everyone grabbed their oars and began rowing away from the cabin towards the
river. It was 70 degrees out and the bright shine of the sun felt good against the
skin of the four friends. As they rowed onward, Sophia could see a few Rainbow
Trout fish swimming around her oar. They looked incredible especially with the
sunshine glistening on them under the water.
The approaching river flowed easily and peacefully with hardly any current
going against them at all. Sarah put her hand into the water. It felt a little chilly,
but it was early in the morning. The dark green pine trees surrounded the friends
at each side of the river.
Look! Over there, Sarah said excitedly, pointing to her right. Its a deer.
Everyone looked over where she was pointing and saw a large mule deer. Since
they all lived in a city where the only nature they could experience were the
couple parks, seeing a wild animal like this was very interesting.
Jesse took off his sunglasses and looked a little closer at the deer. Next to it, he
saw the bushes begin to move a little. All of a sudden, another animal popped out.
It was a small fawn.
Oh my gosh, its so cute said Sophia.
The deer were feeding on the grass that was at their feet and then proceeded to
drink water out of the river. A couple seconds went by when the adult noticed
Jesse rowing the canoe, and then began to slowly walk back into the bushes along
with the fawn, disappearing from them.
What other animals are out here? Sophia asked.
Well, pretty much its just deer. And some snakes here and there. Im sure
theres many more critters, but if youre worried about bears or something, you
wont find them out here, said Jesse, giving her a cheeky smile.
Trying to get some alone time, Jesse and Sarah started rowing a little bit faster
than Alex and Sophia and getting further away. They got the clue and started to
slow down themselves.

Wow, can you believe theyre going to get married Sophia said looking at them.
I know, its crazy, Alex replied.
How long have they known each other?
Since the sixth grade, I believe.
Jeez, thats such a long time, she said.
.. Yeah. So-um, are we going to talk about what happened last night? asked
Alex. Sophia looked at at him and saw that he had an impatient face.
She started to giggle. Well, what do you want to talk about? The two smiled as
they continued to row up the river.

The Waterfall
Sarahs face started to grow a smile as she began to hear the relaxing sound of
the water splashing against the surface of the river.
Were here, Jesse said taking off his sunglasses.
The friends rowed the canoes to the center of the enormous pond the waterfall
was making and just stared at the large beauty.
Theres a trail over there. Lets pull up to the shore, and go hike it said Jesse
pointing to a pathway leading into the large forest.
The friends rowed their boat to the small bank near the waterfall. Sarah pulled
out her cell phone and started taking photos of all the nature around her.
Yo, where does this trail lead? asked Alex.
Im not exactly sure Jesse replied. Ive only been here once before and I didnt
go up there.
When did you last come here?, Sophia asked.
It was about two or three years ago. I came here with my dad a little after my
grandpa passed away. He left me the cabin in his will and Ive never gotten the
chance to come up here until now. My dad has been coming up here every other
few months just to check up on the place.
Wow, he left you this whole place Sophia said.
Yeah, well its just the cabin and the lake, but theres no one that ever comes out
here anyway, so its like I own this entire place he said putting his arms up into
the air with a big smile.
Thats so cool! Alex said, laughing a little.
How old is the cabin? Sarah asked.
I have no idea. I know its quite old but I dont know when it was built or when
my grandpa bought it. He didnt even live here for much time. I think after about
two years he decided he would just use it as a vacation home for guests and rent it
to them.
How could anyone get tired of this place asked Alex looking around at all the
large trees.

Yeah, apparently he got the cabin for a really low price. The real estate agent
said there were quite a few disappearances around here a long time ago, and my
grandpa told me about a couple of them.
What happened? asked Sophia with a creeped out look on her face.
Im not sure but one of the disappearances involved a man, his wife and his
three kids said Jesse. They came here during Spring Break, just vacationing and
after a family member of there's hadnt heard from them for almost the entire
week, they called the police. They didnt find any trace of them. Their items and
car were all still there but they werent.
Oh my god, thats creepy. What do you think happened to them? asked Sophia
sounding worryingly. Sophia was an easy person to scare. Anything remotely
creepy would terrify the life out of her. She couldnt even watch a horror movie
without her experiencing a panic attack. It was that bad.
I dont know. But I do know that a few years later, the police decided to just
close the case. They hadnt made any progress those few years. They searched the
cabin numerous times, brought in many detectives, even searched the entire
surrounding area, and they found nothing. Some people think they got lost
exploring the area and died somewhere out there.
Jesus, Alex said whispering to himself.
It was silent for a few seconds as Jesse had freaked out the rest of them.
And what happened with the other disappearance? asked Sarah.
Not much of a different story. Years after the case was closed, a man came up
here with his daughter. Again, when the police were alerted, they found all their
things but not their bodies. Immediately after that incident happened they shut
down this whole area and no one was allowed around here or the cabin.
Eventually people started forgetting, and some real estate agent acquired the
cabin from whomever owned it back then. And of course my grandpa bought it a
while after that.
Youre telling me you brought us to a place where people died!? Sophia said,
sounding agitated.
Hey, calm down! This stuff happened a long time ago, were fine. My grandpa
rented it out to lots of people before he passed and they didnt die, he said
jokingly.
Sarah looked at Sophias face and noticed she was hesitant to keep going into the
forest.
Sophia, come on, nothings going to happen to us, she said smiling.
Fine, but I dont want to hear anymore about this stuff she replied firmly.
The four friends continued their walk on the trail. It was about 12 pm when they
decided to head back to the cabin.
Later that afternoon, everyone went fishing at the lake for dinner that night.
At around 9'o clock Jesse and Sarah were inside the cabin in their rooms while
Alex and Sophia started talking outside.

Abduction
So..um listen.
Alex and Sophia stood outside of the ledge, when all of a sudden a cold breeze
blew by them in between the trees. There was a loud and strange noise coming
from the forest.
What the hell is that? asked Sophia.
I dont know.
All of a sudden there was a loud roar coming from the pitch black sky. It was a
powerful atrocious sound that caused tremendous pain in their ears.
Oh god screamed Sophia, covering her ears with her hands.
Alex did the same, with a painful look on his face. Abruptly, the noise stopped.
Jesse and Sarah came running out of the cabin.
What the hell was that?
I have no idea said Alex.
They all just stood there for a second wondering what they could possibly do.
None of them knew what was going on.
Sophia stared into into the darkness above her. The clouds blocked the view of
whatever was up there.
BAM

! There was sudden burst of a blue light that covered everything. It was so
bright they could barely see around them. The horrendous, excruciating sound
returned.
Oh god! Get inside! Get inside! Jesse screamed.
Everyone ran into the cabin as fast as they could. Jesse turned around and locked
the door with the emphatic noise continuing. The bright blue light bled through
the large windows of the cabin. They all stared outside in confusion and fear.
Jesse, what's going on!?.
I dont know, Sarah, I dont know.
What should we do? Sophia said panicly. No one replied, they all just
continued staring outside.
The blue light began to fade a little and the outings of the cabin became more
visible. The screeching noise faded as well, but then a sudden burst of powerful
wind came down on the cabin and caused the window glass to shatter. Sophia let
out a light scream and the rest of them backed away from the windows.
Oh my god! Oh my god! Sophia yelled, slowly backing into the hallway.
A few seconds later the lights inside the cabin all went out. Alex started walking
closer to window with an eager feeling of finding out what was up in the sky.
Alex! What are you doing?, whispered Sophia.
I just want to see whats up there, he replied quietly.

As he approached the window, he started to feel fear creep over him, but that
didnt stop him. He continued slowly until suddenly, he heard the sound of
footsteps somewhere around the outside of the cabin.
I hear something he whispered to the friends.
What is it? Sarah asked.
I think its footsteps he replied looking at her. He then looked at Sophia and
what he saw brought him to the ground. His face turned bright red with
immediate terror all over him.
Oh god, he whispered to himself.
There was something behind Sophia. He couldnt tell what it was, but it was a
little taller than her, with a large skinny body and blue glowing eyes. Without
warning, the creature pulled one of Sophias legs and dragged her into one of the
bedrooms and she let out a horrifying and painful scream.
Sarah and Jesse both turned their heads to the hallway and saw Sophia on the
ground with her arms out trying to get ahold of anything on the floor in hopes of
escaping the monster that was taking her away into the bedroom.
Help me! Help me!He-, she screamed. Before she could finish, all that could be
heard was the bone crushing sound of her body.
Alex immediately ran into the hallway with Jesse trying to stop him.
No!Alex!No! he screamed.
Sarah did nothing but stand in the center of the living room on the point of crying.
Alex ran into the room and saw nothing but blood all over the floor, walls and
bed.
Tears started to fill his eyes as he saw Sophias torn off arm near the shattered
bedroom window. Whatever had come in here and attacked her had escaped.
Jesse glanced for a second almost immediately looking away from the dark,
grisly slight.
Come on! Jesse said grabbing him and pulling him back into the living room.
What happened!? Sarah asked terrified.
Shes.. shes dead said Jesse
You dont know that, Jesse! Shes not dead! screamed Alex. Jesse looked at Alex
with deep sorrow and he knew if they wanted to survive they would have to act
quickly.
Jesse looked over to the nightstand by the sofa and grabbed the keys to the jeep.
He looked over at Sarah and grabbed her hand tightly and said Come on, we have
to go now!
How are we going to get to the jeep with that thing out there? she replied.
Well just have to go around and run for it. Sophia and Jesse ran towards the
back of the cabin but Alex hesitated for a second. He looked back into the hallway
but then continued to follow Jesse. Sophia opened the sliding door and they
quietly snuck out and around the cabin. They looked up at the sky and still
couldnt see what was producing the blue light. Jesse lead the way into the nearby
bushes in hopes of hiding from whatever was in front of the cabin. I dont see

anything he whispered. Everyone was crouched down with their eyes searching
all around the environment to try and find whatever was out there. The bright
light was starting to fade again and within a minute it was completely gone.
What should we do? Alex asked. No one answered him for a little bit. Jesse was
thinking. He started to get really nervous. Looking at the jeep, he decided it was
time to act.
Lets just go. Lets just run and as soon as we get in, Ill start it and well get the
hell out of here!.
Jesse, Im scared, Sophia said. He looked to her face and saw that she was
trembling. It was a chilly night with fog starting to roll in.
Sarah, we just have to run for it, he said again. Jesse looked straight at the wide
open area that the jeep was in. All they had to do was run for it and get inside. He
had a strange feeling in his gut that something was going to happen, but he knew
this was the only way out of this place. His face began to get sweaty and his heart
started beating faster than it ever had in his entire life. He could hardly breathe,
he was so nervous.
Ok. Ok. On the count-on the count of three we go. Ok?, he said looking at Sarah
and Alex.
They both agreed and looked ahead at the jeep.
Alright here we go, he said. With every word that came out of Jesses mouth, he
got more nervous and nervous. More sweat and sweat. One..Two..Three. GO!.
They all jumped out of the bushes and headed straight for the vehicle. It was so
close to them. It was right in front of their faces. They were all almost there, when
all of a sudden there was a bright blue ray of light that struck the jeep and caused
it to explode. The impact caused the friends to be launched back into the air and
back into the ground. The jeep rolled onto the passenger side with burning flames
all over.
"Sarah! Sarah!" Jesse yelled getting up from the ground and running towards
her. "Are you okay?"
Yeah, Im fine. They looked over to Alex, who was still on the ground. He
looked unconscious.
Alex? Alex, are you ok?, said Sarah. Jesse and Sarah both began to move
towards him but stopped suddenly. Sarahs eyes widened and her jaw dropped.
Oh god.. Oh god, she whispered. Look behind you!, she screamed.
Alex, turn around!, shouted Jesse.
Alex began to slowly get up from the ground and heard the footsteps on the gravel
behind him. He knew he needed to get up and ran forward but the enormous
terror in his heart kept him from moving a single muscle. He couldn't think. He
couldn't move. He couldn't breathe. And then he heard the quiet growl of
whatever was behind him.
Jesse stared at the tall creature that was possibly 6 foot. The blue glowing eyes
penetrated his fear. The large extended arms had 3 sharp claws on each hand and
very sharp teeth. "Alex run!"

The ferocious monster grabbed Alex by the shoulder with one hand and his head
by the other and lowered its jaws onto his neck, biting a huge bloody chunk out of
him. Alex screamed . It was the most painful noise he had ever made. The beast
chewed what he had in his mouth and threw Alex's body onto the ground. It got
on its knees and began to devour the rest of the body.
Sarah and Jesse both watched in horror as their best friend was brutally mauled
right in front of them. Sarah let out a horrifying screech and put her head against
Jesse's chest, turning away from the gruesome sight. He took Sarah's hand and led
her into the dark and eerie woods, both running as fast as they could. The bright
blue light was back and it followed them into the woods. Jesse turned around to
see three more of the creatures being lowered from the blue light that were now
sprinting after them.
"Run! Don't turn around Sarah! Run!" screamed Jesse.

Sarah awoke with a massive pain in her head. Where am I, she thought. With her
whole body on the ground she lifted herself up slowly and looked around. She was
surrounded by trees and fog.
"Jesse! Jesse! Where are you!?" she shouted, getting on her feet. She had a minor
cut on her forehead, that was bleeding along with her nose. She had some bruises
on her arm but there wasnt anything painful. Sarah walked around in search of
Jesse. There was no sign of him, the creatures or the blue light. She was terrified
to move too much because she knew the beasts still had to be out there. But with
all her mental strength she ran up the hill and proceeded to call Jesses name
again.
Jesse! Jesse!, she yelled. There was nothing but absolute god awful silence. She
was beginning to cry again. She didnt know what to do. Out in the middle of no
where. The only company she had was the dark, chilly silent forest.
Sarah! Sarah, where are you!? she heard in the distance. She was so glad to
hear her boyfriends voice.
Alex! Im over here she replied.
Sarah! She started running up the hill, towards his voice. She started getting
closer and closer. Within seconds she saw Jesse up ahead. They both smiled
vigorously and hugged each other.
Oh god, what happened? she asked.
I killed one. I killed one of them!, he gasped.
What!? How did you kill it?
I got a small log and bashed one right on its head and I killed the bastard. I
have no idea what they are but I killed one.
Show me.
Jesse walked Sarah over to the corpse and showed her.

Looking down at the hideous sharp toothed monster, she said Oh god.
The cold wind that had terrorized Sarah and Jesse earlier was swooping in on
them again. The horrible noise from before was present again. The wind was so
strong it caused the trees all around them to slightly bend outwards. As a bright
blue light struck down from the night sky it started slowly levitating Sarah and
Jesse upwards into the center of the light. Jesse looked over to Sarah and reached
for her hand. Before the two disappeared they released an excruciating painful
noise.
A camera located in a nearby tree filmed everything.

Revelations
"Sir, The Outsiders have captured the specimens", a worker said.
"How many of them John?" replied the boss.
"They got four, sir."
"Alright that's good enough..for now", he said, "How did they go?".
"They ate two of them. And the other two were just abducted".
"Let me see them getting eaten", he said.
John pressed a few buttons on his keyboard and brought up the surveillance
footage up on the monitors in front of them. The recording showed an Outsider
breaking in through a bedroom window and killing Sarah.
"Wow. Look at how it eats" said John.
A middle aged woman named Helen walked into the control room with a younger
woman named Anne, who was a trainee.
"Anne, this is the control room, where we monitor the actions of the Outsiders
and the specimens. This is Michael Dodson, you're boss", said Helen, looking at
Michael, "Anne is the new trainee here at the facility. And, well I'm sure you've
met John before", said Helen.
Anne gave John an awkward smile. She walked up to Micheal and gave him a
handshake. "It's nice to meet you, sir".
"It's a pleasure, Anne", he said. "Now if you'll excuse us, I'd like to have a word
with Helen". Michael and Helen walked out of the control room and left Anne and
John to themselves.
"So what's going on here?", she asked looking at the computer monitors.
"Well, this is footage of one of the specimens being killed", he said looking at her
face.
Anne had a disturbed look on her face.
"Are you alright? You look a little sick", he said jokingly.
"Yeah I'm fine", she giggled. "It's just I'm still having trouble accepting the fact
that this.. That... " she sighed. The screen now started showing one of the

monsters ripping out Sarah's intestines and consuming them causing Anne to look
really disgusted.
"Look, I know this is hard. I was in the same place as you are now when I first
started working here. But trust me you'll get used to it", he said. "Anne, this is
what we have to do to survive. By sacrificing these people were ensuring the lives
of the entire human race. If we don't do this they'll Invade the entire world and
destroy everything. We're doing our existence a huge favor!", he said laughing.
Anne looked again at the monitor and it was now playing Alex's death and then
Sarah and Jesse being abducted. John pressed a few buttons and was now playing
the live footage of the spacecraft that contained the Outsiders exiting the forest
and heading back up into space.
"There they go" said John. "See you in in a week".
Anne and John stared at the monitors in front of them until the spacecraft was
no longer in sight. Michael Dodson walked back into the control room.
"Alright good work John" he said."Anne, you'll be taking John's position for next
week's sacrifice, so tomorrow head back into the Main room for training on how
to operate the control room". Michael walked Anne and John out of the room.
"Alright. Good work and good night", he told John as he was about to leave for
his room, "Tomorrow, we'll start planning the next setting for the sacrifice.
"Alright sir, goodnight", he told Michael.
"Hey, I have a question" Anne said looking at John. "What happens when they
take the specimens up into the spacecraft?".
"No one really knows. We've had very little contact with them and they've never
allowed us to know. But from the painful noises those two were just making, it
probably can't be good", he said. "Well I'm gonna get some rest, I'll see you
around Anne", he said and walked away. Anne now stood there in the hallway and
wondered what happened to the two abducted up into ship. Were they dead?
Were they being tested on? What would become of them? These thoughts filled
her head as she walked down the hallway and into her corridor to go to bed.
