Core Knowledge-Plants

Readers will understand the life cycle of a plant and use temporal words such as first, then, next,
last to signal order.

Core Knowledge-Taking Care of the Earth

Readers will understand social responsibilities towards taking care of our Earth. They will be
writing their own opinions of one way we will help our Earth.

Math
Go Math
Chapter 11-Measurement

Mathematicians will be able to compare lengths and heights of two objects. They will also be able
to describe several ways to measure one object.

Chapter 12-Classify and Sort Data

Mathematicians will be able to classify objects into given categories; count the numbers of
objects in each category and sort the categories.

Social Studies
Sharing the Planet
Big Idea: How are families the same and different?
With prompting and support, students will be able to understand how families live and change
over time. All families have needs and wants, yet they come from diverse cultures and have
different customs.
