Maranao

Maranao , also spelled as Meranaoand Maranaw, is the


term used officially by the Philippine government in
reference to the southern tribe who are now the people of
the lake called Ranao in the Iranaon language, a
predominantly Muslim region
in
thePhilippines island
of Mindanao. They are famous for their artwork,
sophisticated weaving, wood and metal crafts, and their
epic literature,Darangen.

Hiligaynon

The Hiligaynon, often referred to as Ilonggo, are a


subgroup of theVisayan people whose primary language
is Hiligaynon, an Austronesian language native to the large
eastern coastal plain of Panay.

Negrito

The Negrito are several ethnic groups who inhabit isolated


parts of Southeast Asia. Their current populations
include Andamanese peoples
of
the Andaman
Islands, Semang peoples
of Malaysia,
the Mani of Thailand, and the Aeta, Agta, Ati, and 30 other
peoples of the Philippines.
