CHECKLIST FOR TOPICS AND TENSIONS

PRESENTATION
Visual Presentation
PowerPoint or Prezi presentation with no more than 20 slides
Each slide must contain visuals (maps, figures, graphics, images, etc.)
No more than 5 lines of text on each slide (less is more)
Must contain an opening, index, sources, and final slide
Structure should be easy to follow
o Introduction of topic
o Background information
o Why it is important for your classmates to understand
o Examples of the issue to exemplify the topic
o Conclusion
A minimum of 4 sources must be properly cited
Free of grammar and spelling mistakes
Presentation is only to be used as a guide and not a book to read from
Needs to be visually appealing for the audience
Oral Presentation
Each person must participate equally during the presentation
Avoid reading from notes notecards and screen are a reference
Maintain eye contact with the audience
Pronounce words correctly and speak loudly enough to be heard by
everyone
Duration of the presentation should not be more than 25 minutes
Avoid blocking the screen and present yourself clearly in front of the
class
Be conscious of your body language
Practice many times at home before the day of your presentation

NOTE: You will be assessed by your teachers as well as your classmates. At


the end of the presentation you will complete a self and group evaluation
