a. The Wikimedia Foundation is a nonprofit charitable organization dedicated to encouraging the

growth, development and distribution of free, multilingual, educational content, and to providing
the full content of these wiki-based projects to the public free of charge. The Wikimedia
Foundation operates some of the largest collaboratively edited reference projects in the world,
including Wikipedia, a top-ten internet property. The Wikimedia Foundation is supported by
hardworking volunteers and donations that allow its operation.

b. The Wikimedia Foundation is the non-profit organization that operates Wikipedia and other
free knowledge projects. Wikimedia is working to develop and sustain a worldwide framework
for the free exchange of knowledge amongst everyone.

c. The works of The Wikimedia Foundation are important because the exchange of knowledge is
what allows the world to evolve and change for the better. Without the free sharing of
information, we would go nowhere.
