The number of retained students being promoted will increase by 5 percent.

1. Advisory co-teacher for a Why Try advisory. Weekly meetings with retained students in the advisory to assist them in getting back on track
academically.
2. At least quarterly meetings with other retained students on my caseload.
Expected Outcomes/Evidence of Completion
The retained students within my Why Try Advisory and/or caseload will be promoted to the next grade level.

Grade checks every quarter. Final grades and possible promotion decisions reviewed at the end of the 1st semester and final semester.

2. Goal
The number of freshmen promotions to 10th grade will increase by 3 percent.

1. Freshman conferences
2. Quarterly individual conferences with students that are at-risk of being retained
3. If needed, summer school and other credit recovery information provided to students
