RNHA Celebrates the 201st Birthday of Abraham Lincoln

Lakeland, FL – The Republican National Hispanic Assembly (RNHA) National Chairman Alci
Maldonado released the following statement celebrating what would have been President
Abraham Lincoln’s 201st birthday.

“We in the RNHA celebrate the birthday of one of the great chief executives in our nation’s
history, President Abraham Lincoln. As President, he brought the Republican Party into
national preeminence as a Party which welcomed all Americans. It was President Lincoln who
penned the Gettysburg Address and who signed the Emancipation Proclamation declaring "that
all persons held as slaves" within the rebellious states "are, and henceforward shall be free." To
this day, we in America honor the fighting men and women who continue to give the ultimate
sacrifice to ensure that our great nation “…conceived in liberty… shall not perish from the
earth.” The members of the RNHA are proud to be a part of the Party of Lincoln; a big tent
Party which furthers the tried and true principles of lower taxes, less spending, smaller
government and more individual freedom.”
