It was mid-late spring, 2014, on the bus, the Bunny Bus to be exact. I quietly sat
by myself with Ethan in the next seat. Only 5 more minutes till Im home... I quietly
thought to myself. Glancing over at Ethan, I was armed with 2 weapons, a rubber band
and a few pieces of paper. Dead silence in the back, the residence of the 8th graders.
Ethan was armed with the same weapons as me. We nodded at each other and took
aim with the rubber bands, aiming towards the 7th graders. Theyre making so much
noise, said Ethan. I nodded back at him. SNAP! Ethans rubber band let the strip of
paper fly. I tracked it and quickly let mine fly along with his. The strips of paper hornets
arced across the bus and hit two 7th graders in the back of the heads. Even more noise
erupted from them and they raced around the seats to find some cover and a weapon of
their own. Collectively Ethan and I let loose five more hornets at them, four hitting their
respective targets. When the 7th graders found something to retaliate back with they
quickly made a few hornets, they let one fly and it hit one of our own. Making a certain
8th grade girl very mad. Ethan and I stood down and watched the hilarious events
unfold. Chuckling we sat there watching her unleash a wrath upon the 7th graders.
When she was done they just sat there and were very quiet. When the dust settled
Ethan and I were victorious. The bus slowed down to a halt and the bus twenty kids got
off and went home. Good times, good times, I thought to myself. What if I wrote about
my first day of high school?
Early September, 2014, slowly my eyes opened, and I looked up. Ughhh.. I
grunted to myself as my sister pranced into my room saying time to get up! all
singsong like. I grunted some more and she left. Sitting up I stretched and eventually
found myself in her car on the way to Verona Area High School for my first day. I looked
around nervously and laid my eyes on my new school, the school that would house me
until I was off to college. I stepped out of the car and slowly walked over to the big blue
doors in front of the PAC and opened it. The heavy door moved aside and I continued
on, a noise filled the main building commons, the noise of four hundred freshmen, all
waiting eagerly for the orientation and the journey home. I nervously looked around,
franticly searching for my friends or a familiar face. Then I saw someone, 2 heads,
brownish black hair, glasses, and a shameless giggle coming from them. Ah, Brandon
and Sebastian, my old weirdos... I walked slowly over to them looking for an alternative.
Sup Jolting me out of the zone I replied sup back to Sebastian and took a seat on the
cold lunch table bench. Then I peered over to the place where I came from, looking for a
friend, then I found a companion, Andrew. There he is... I waved him over and
Sebastian and Brandon started giggling. I raised an eyebrow and they pointed over to
the weird wannabe emo chick standing over at the wall on the other end of the
hallway, I smiled at the weird humor. Later Id know her as Narmeen. When Andrew
made it over I started making remarks about the awkward moments of the summer
between us and I started telling stories about my summer, Vegas, awesome moments in
gaming, etc. Later Jon came over and we awkwardly started laughing for no reason, we
call it the awkward thing. Suddenly the doors to the gym opened and we were
instructed to enter. All the mentors and teachers plus one camera were watching and
cheering for us. It was a long line over to the area-Something jolted me out of my day
dream, ugh... what am I going to write about? I got nothing.
Sighing, I resumed my tapping and listened to the music as I recounted my life
