Advanced Art Jacket Drawing -Handout

Step 1: Practice drawing jacket

Make one contour line drawing of the jacket.
There should be no shading.
Step 2: Finalize your jacket drawing
Should fit inside an 8x10 inch box
Make copies using the window
o You will need 5 copies all together
Step 3: Choose three artists from the list on the website
Create three jackets in the style of the artists chosen.
Do a little research on each artist
Include a background for each in the style of the artist
Mediums of your choice
Create thumbnail designs for each
Step 4: The fourth Jacket
The last jacket will be done in your own style.
What will you create that SCREAMS you!
Draw a thumbnail design.
Step 5: Matte your work
In black or color.
You will cut out four windows in one matte board.

Step 6: Fill out Rubric and answer reflection
