Pi Day Project/Activity

Pi Day is actually on March 14th. However, we will be on Spring Break during


that times. So, we will celebrate our Pi Day on this Thursday and Friday! You
will sign up to present either Thursday or Friday. You will have Monday,
Tuesday and Wednesday in class to prepare. You may also utilize zero hour.
Here are the requirements
1. You may work on your own or with a partner. Choose your partner
carefully!
2. Complete the attached chart with 10 circular items. You need to find the

area by using the formula. A= r
Remember radius is half the
diameter. If you need to borrow on of my rulers- just let me know.
Savvy computer people may take pictures of their objects and draw the
radius and show the Area- David E.= I am talking to you computer
genius.

3. You may have any type of visual (PowerPoint, Prezi, video, poster,
drawing, etc) or auditory aid (song, play guitar with song, etc..) with
fifteen interesting facts about Pi Day. This does not mean you simply
get on the internet and copy and paste facts. You must rewrite them in
your own words. If you dont it is plagiarism.
