Why Edmodo?
Edmodo is a social networking website for
teachers, students, and
parents. It is marketed
as the Facebook for
schools. Teachers can
invite students into private groups that can be
used for online discussions. In my opinion Edmodo is very helpful in
and outside of the classroom. I can interact with
my students and their
parents. Its very convenient and easy to use.
Highly recommended.

Reasons to use Edmodo:

has awesome features. You

can post text, polls, videos,
quizzes and assignments all
directly through Edmodo.

Its free.

It provides a secure
environment.

It is user friendly. It

It helps with going paperless.

Its mobile friendly. Edmodo has free apps for Android and Apple products.

It helps with differentiation. Edmodo allows you

to create small groups in
an instant, which is great
for differentiation in the
classroom.

Digital Citizenship and Cyberbullying

Digital citizenship and cyberbullying is very important.
Digital citizenship is a concept
which helps teachers, technology leaders and parents to
understand what students/
children/ technology users
should know to use technolo-

gy appropriately. Cyberbullying is bullying that takes place

using electronic technology.
After learning about these
two things I feel like a parent
having knowledge about both
should be mandatory. I
learned about how dangerous

cyberbullying can be and the

effects that it can have. Parents
and teacher should take the
time up and let kids know the
importance of digital citizenship
and cyberbullying. Now that I
realize how important they are
I will definitely inform my future students about it.

I absolutely love Weebly. Weebly is a website where you can
create your own website. You can be as creative as you want to
be. You choose the
theme page you like
the most. You design it
however you like. My
favorite part was how

simple and easy it is to

drag and drop things. I
had a lot of fun making
my website. At first I
thought it was going to
be hard but once we
got started it got easier and easier. Another
part I liked was the
pages tab. You can add
pages and sub pages

and sub pages for those

pages. I thought this was
really awesome. You can
run wild with your imagination on Weebly. I can
use this as a future
teacher by creating my
own website for the parents and my students.
The sky is the limit with
Weebly.

does the rest. I had a
great time making my
animoto video. I added
music, pictures, and
short video clips to my
animoto video. I can

use animoto videos as

a teacher by introducing myself to my class,
explaining a new lesson, or revealing good
news to my class. Animoto rocks!

learn. It is a website
you go to that creates
videos for you. Its so

what you want in your

Prezi
Prezi is a cloud-based
presentation software
and storytelling tool
for presenting ideas on
a virtual canvas. I had a
great time making my
Prezi's. The thing I really like about Prezi is
that it does the work
for you. It gives you a

background, movements, title pages, and

much more. All you
have to do is add your
information. I would
use this in my classroom to teach my students a lesson. I could
also use this in my
classroom to play

games with my students. Prezi is a lot

better than PowerPoint in my opinion. I
am happy I had the
chance to learn and
experience Prezi.
