TEMS Investigation 8.0 Installation Guide (assume the CDROM

drive is E:)

1. Insert the TEMS CD to CDROM drive, double click the file

TEMS_Investigation_8.0.3.exe,
after the software installation, you can
install the latest service pack, now is TEMS 8.0.4, then insert the USB dongle
for data collection or route analysis;
2. when connect the TEMS K790/K800/W600, using the single USB port cable, and
specified the driver in:
E:\Drivers\DriversR3A\Drivers\Sony Ericsson
3. the TEMS port and Data port mapping as following with the device manager
of Windows XP, right click the mouse to see the Modems property, then you
will find the their com port number, the data modem is for creating the dial-up
networking if you want to test the GPRS/EDGE data:

TEMS 8.0 will identify the terminal automatically except the Qualcomm CDMA
terminal;

4. Important notice:
During the TEMS testing, the W600/K790/K800 plug into the
computer will use phone mode. If you select File
Transfer mode for other operations, the W600/K790/K800
will acted as an U-disk, before plug out the phone, please
remove
the hardware
by the buttonsafety remove
hardwarelocated in right-bottom corner of your XP system.
Then you can plug out the USB port, otherwise may cause the
file system destroied of W600/K790/K800, will be white
screen and need to be return.
