Briefly explain why you want to join the Communication Honor Society: Also a music major, I have
easily been able to connect with fellow musicians beyond the classroom by cooperating with one another in
various performing opportunities offered within the Music Department. Truth be told, however, I found it
fairly difficult to build support outside the classroom and establish long-lasting, valuable relationships with
fellow Comm majors even when I very much wished to. Through active participation as a member of CHS, I
hope to be able to network with ambitious peers of the Communication Department as well as strengthen
friendships and connections previously made in the academic setting.

Please submit this application to the Department Office by 3:00pm on April 17, 2015 with a copy of
your degree audit report (printed from eCampus) in an envelope for your privacy. If you are studying
abroad, you can e-mail your material to CHS Adviser, Dr. Justin Boren at jboren@scu.edu before
3:00pm Pacific Time on 4/17/2015 late applications can not be accepted under any circumstances,
so please apply early!
