Students will understand current trends regarding the


use of behavioral assessments in Alberta schools.

of behavioral assessments in Alberta schools in both small
group and whole group discussions.

Three questions:
With your partner talk about some
behavioural problems you have observed in your
practicum.
With you partner talk about one thing
you have observed your TA do to address a
behavioral problem.
Talk about how solutions to

behavioural problems you have observed in your


practicum have been similar or different from your
own experiences as k-12 students.
Body
(10 minutes)

split students into four groups using a group


generator app- two groups of four and two groups of five.
groups 1 and 3 will be given a orange organizer with
a link for an article at the top of the page. Groups 2 and 4
will be given a green sheet with a link for an article at the top
of the page.
Each group will work together ( for 7 minutes) to
generate a few keys ideas from the article and record on
individual organizers.
In the next 3 minutes, students with orange sheets
will find a student with a green sheet. Pairs will exchange
key ideas they learnt from their respective articles.
The two article groups will take a look at will be:
