Energy Pathway: 2015-16

Reynoldsburg City Schools

Why Energy?
Ohio consistently ranks first in the U.S. in the creation of new energy projects. With more than 500 wells drilled in Ohios Utica
formation, oil and gas has taken a larger role in the states energy portfolio. State leadership has strongly committed to programs that
retool our workforce, support collaborative research between industry and academia, and provide crucial funding.

The Energy Pathway is designed for students who love of science. The coursework is heavily focused on science with special attention
paid to how scientific advancements are impacting our economy and environment. The future of Ohio is heavily dependent on energy
production and consumption and students in the Energy Pathway will have a great head-start towards becoming leaders in this emerging
industry. Students will be challenged to think critically about new energy hurdles in our state as they participate in rigorous coursework
centered around science.
