Commissioning the nodeB

Use Java version 1.6.0_43

Change the IP setup of your laptop:

In IP Address: field strikes 223.254.254.1.

In Subnet Mask: field strikes 255.255.240.0

Connect your laptop to CCM board Ethernet port 1:

Open your browser and go to the below link:

http://223.254.254.244/til/index.html

In the user name field, put your name and leave the Default path unchanged
Click start and wait for username/password prompt

Username: nodeb
Password: nodeblnx
Click OK and you will be logged in to the nodeB

Change the commissioning parameters

In the I&C menu, chose Change I&C parameters, you will be taken to the parameters window:

First thing: make sure the Fallback to previous I&C data is set to DEACTIVATE and that the Serial Number
matches the serial number found on the chassis sticker
In the BACKHAUL tab, select Gigabit Ethernet:

In the Ethernet tab, enter the OAM VLAN ID as per the design sheet and select the appropriate MDA
port:

Check the CCM board to see which port is used to connect to the network. In this example, MDA port 1 is
used.

In the IP Parameters tab, enter the nodeBs OAM IP, the OMC IP, the OAM Sub-network mask and the
default gateway as per the design sheet and leave all other parameters at their default:

Finally, click send to iBTS.

Now the nodeB is commissioned. To make the changes take effect, we have to reset the nodeB in
connected mode:
Choose Tools -> iBTS reset -> reset in connected mode
