The emergence of personal and
behavioural characteristics through
growth processes

When child who has not attained a


sufficient level of mental and
physical development and he tries to
perform certain tasks at this level, it
will involve a higher level of
development.
Normal development difficulties can
be overcome with proper readiness
building procedure.

Past Experience
Personally encountered,
undergone, or lived through
that influence an individual
life.

Past experience determines a


child's readiness for learning
prior exposure to basic skills
is necessary before complex
tasks are tackled.

Material & Method


Research has shown that children are
more ready to learn materials
thatmeets their needs and fits their
interests.
Children are more ready to learn
skills of spelling, reading and writing
when they are having fun doing

Emotional & Personal


Emotional stress blocks readiness for
learning especially those resulting
from unmet needs, overprotection,
rejection in the home, previous
experience of school failure, and
other difficulties.
