Our program speaker this month will be Elaine Graninger speaking Editor: George Bold 325-379-1553
for Med Air Vac . She will give us valuable information on being air
flighted in an emergency.
2015 Project Status

Stocking
Stocking
We plan to release 1 million Hybrid Striped Bass Fry, only, this year. The Texas Parks and Wildlife Dept. agrees sufficient
mature fish are in the lake and the fry only is an appropriate
stocking level for this year.

LBCC Scholarship
The LBCC is proud to announce the offer of a $1000 scholarship for area high school seniors based on the merits of a 500 word
Essay . The subject will relate to Water and Conservation. Entry cutoff is May 1, with the winner decided by May 15. Reviewers will be;
Linda Bundy, Sue Thornton and Belinda Whitworth. All 3 have experience in education. More details will be available at our meeting on
March 17. Thanks to Butch Whitworth for this excellent idea!

Courtesy Docks
The LCRA approved our placing of the docks in the
lake, but they will NOT accept responsibility for them. Negotiations continue to resolve this.

Invasive Species Signs


We have placed 8 Invasive Species (ie: Zebra Mussels)
warning signs at 5 selected locations in order to protect the lake.

Ordered 1 million Hybrid Striped Bass Fry.

Docks
In negotiation concerning dock responsibility.
Fish Attractors
Making plans with Texas
Parks and Wildlife to put artificial fish attractors in Buchanan
and Cedar trees in Inks.

We meet every third Tuesday, 7PM at the Hill Country Hall, Hwy 29 in Buchanan Dam
