The student services meeting at Forest Glen Middle School discussed end-of-year transition activities, a potential school-wide initiative to motivate students for the last few weeks, and changing the academic achievement percentage to 90%. They also addressed a student, Tyrell, who has been slipping in his behavior by being tardy and less productive, and planned for him to help in the tech lab as an incentive to stay on track. No new student referrals were discussed.

Date: June 6, 2015 Participants: Trina- Principal, Darlene Vice-Principal, Sarah EST-Guidance, Deana EST-Resource School Wide: Darlene updated the group on the high school transition meetings as well as incoming grade 6 were completed. Darlene also mentioned that any Policy 704 had been scanned and emailed to schools of outgoing grade 8 students. Trina feels that in September they will need to plan for a school wide initiative that will help motivate students to remain focused during the last few weeks of school. Maybe it could include more physical activity during the day. She also mentioned that going forward she wants to change the percentage for high academic achievement to 90%. Follow-up: Tyrell has had a good year keeping his behavior in check however he is slipping. He has been tardy every day and is less and less productive in class. Also he is becoming more argumentative. Trina feels that he needs some incentive to keep him on track for the last 13 days of school. He enjoys tech and has a good relationship with Mr. V. Deana will check with Mr. V. if he would be o.k. with Tyrell coming to tech the last period of the day to help in the tech lab. New Referrals: No new referrals
