There is about 600.000 people living there, which makes it the fourth largest city in Poland. The city of Wroclaw, is going the be the city of culture in 2016. Its also going to host Theatre Olympics and the European Film Awards. You can see the Market Square on the picture to the right My impression of Wroclaw, was that it was a nice city. Some parts of the city was heavily polluted, for example around most of the apartment complexes, and you see the apartment complexes everywhere. But then again, they made up for this with their cool tourist attractions, we visited the Centennial hall, Raclawice Panorama painting, Market square, Wroclaw Cathedral, Wroclaw town hall, Wroclaw zoo and the st. Elizabeths church. All of these attraction each had an interesting story. We went to the Gimnazium 17. The schools in Wroclaw are split up into districts, for example there is a Gimnazium 21, 23, 1, 3. These were the schools I met people from. There is a lot more. Friday we went on a big trip to see the salt mine in Krakow. It is a big salt mine, the guided tour took about 2 hours. In the salt mine we saw a cathedral made from salt only, it was incredible. You can see the cathedral on the picture to the left. We also visited Auschwitz. Auschwitz is a death camp in Poland. The sightings werent nice, in the museum of Auschwitz there was hair, nails, comes, clothes, dolls, childrens cloth and childrens toys. All of these things were scavenged from their luggage. . All in all Wroclaw is a very nice city, they had a lot of different churches from different religions, which is a sign of tolerance, and tolerance is very important.
