Describing a place
Lviv is a magnificent city full of different exciting places and historical
legends. Situated on the west of Ukraine, it’s the true cultural capital of the country.
Walking around the always bustling streets you might see plenty of ancient buildings,
that have been keeping plenty of mysteries inside for over the centuries.
Gothic churches, baroque cathedrals, different museums and plenty of
interesting and unusual cafes are all part of the beautiful cityscape. The smell of the
strong black coffee and delicious Lviv croissants always hangs in the city air.
In every part of the town, you can come across on distinguishing murals and
outdoor exhibitions, like mysterious and enigmatic toy graveyard. To truly feel the
town’s atmosphere, you should definitely visit 500-year-old Rynok Square, which
has these distinguishing features of the old Europeans cities. This part is called Old
Town and there is old, rebuilt many times City Town Hall, from which you might see
the breathtaking and picturesque view.
One of the most recognizable symbols of the Old Town is the Dormition
Cathedral. The story of this building is quite contrasting – from being the venue of
the Orthodox community to being a city’s merchant’s library.
2km from Rynok Square is a real must-see in Lviv – ancient High Castle.
Exactly this unique place is a city’s birthplace, from which everything has begun.
The Lviv unforgettable experience encompasses various things, from multicultural
restaurants to visiting underground parties of poets and artists.
For those who want to combine the art, new impressions and a good cup of
coffee Lviv is a marvellous place to visit.
