St. Sophia’s Cathedral

St. Sophia in Kyiv is a Christian cathedral in the center of Kyiv. It


is a monument of Ukrainian architecture and monumental
painting of the second decade of the 11th  century . This is one of
the few surviving buildings of the Kyivan Rus’ time.  The walls of
Cathedral is decorated with mosaics and frescoes
The Golden Gate

symbols of Kiev. It was known
as the main gate of the ancient
Kiev for centuries. Now the
Golden Gate is one of the main
attractions of the Ukrainian
capital.

Khreshchatyk
The main street of Kyiv is certainly Khreshchatyk. The street is not
very long but very impressive. Khreshchatyk looks especially
beautiful in spring when chestnut trees are in blossom. The
building of this street began at the end of the 18th century.
At the beginning of the 20th century Khreshchatyk became the
shopping centre of the city.
Beside government offices and administrative buildings, you can see
cinemas, restaurants and cafes in this street. A lot of people go to
Khreshchatyk every day.
Andriyivsky Uzviz
 Andriyivsky Uzviz is one of Kiev's oldest streets. In ancient times the street
linked the administrative part of the Upper City with Podil, the Lower City of
merchants.
 It is at the heart of Kiev's artist community and is a favourite stop for tourists
and one of the best areas in Kiev to find traditional Ukrainian crafts and art.
There is a variety of interesting art galleries and souvenir shops.
The Mariyinsky Palace

This Baroque palace is the official ceremonial home for the President of Ukraine.
After a fire destroyed the first structure, Alexander II had the palace reconstructed
in 1870, following the model of the old drawings. The palace has a magnificent
architecture.
Inside, visitors will find a collection of artwork by Ukrainian masters, as well as
cultural and historic treasures. The surrounding landscaped gardens are a nice
place for walking and relaxing.
National Opera and Ballet of Ukraine
It's one of the most popular cultural attractions in the city—millions of people over the
last century have graced its halls and viewed classics like Swan Lake or the Nutcracker.
The National Opera isn't just a great place to view a performance. There is a waterfall
sculpture outside, and across the street are a few excellent restaurants from which to
choose.
It’s a very beautiful place to take photos near it.
M.M. Gryshko National Botanical Garden

 This large park lies in Pechersk and boasts thousands of trees, flower
and plants from different regions of Ukraine and around the world.
This botanical garden located in city center. It is very nice for walking
especially in spring time and summer. It is very good place for taking
beautiful photos at any period of time.  Also, you can see St. Michael's
Vydubychi Monastery from the top of this park
