Helped PhD student bottle raise white-tail and mule deer fawns for her PhD
dissertation. I built upon my knowledge of wildlife nutrition through bottle
raising fawns until their weaning, as well as gained valuable experience
learning how to raise young animals that need around the clock care.

Collaborated with PhD student on her work with the pygmy rabbit. Gained
inside knowledge and exposure to interactions with media and government
stakeholders: newspaper and USDA professionals. Set-up daily experiments in
multi-phase trials over 8 month period to identify ideal nutritional and habitat
environments for conservation for 10-20 cotton-tail and pygmy rabbits. Set-up
and maintained cover boxes, collected food, weighed food, weighed dry
matter, package remaining food and label by date with animal name. Record
amount of food provided and consumed per day on data sheets.

Maintained clean enclosures for 12 adolescent and adult grizzly bears.
Contributed to transportation of bears to hibernation facility. Supervision and
mentorship provided by Dr. Robbins.
