This
assignment required you to pick a problem that interest you and research it. I chose to discuss the
Affordable Care Act in regard to the lack of healthcare for young adults and part-time workers. I
was able to find information on services and policies. I discussed the services rendered on to the
population. I offered an historical overview, and information regarding the social stigma,
discrimination and prejudice associated with that population. I was able to apply my personal
opinion about the subject. This assignment definitely applied Competency 2.1.3, Distinguish,
appraise, and integrate multiple sources of knowledge, including research based knowledge, and
practice wisdom.
