Land required for feed for 50+2 goats: - For fodder production it has general principle to reserve 1R
(1 gunta) land per goat. You can grow perennial and a seasonal fodder variety in land. It has better
to grow fodder crops as:

In this kind of fodder production,good crop rotation is necessary as it will maintain soil fertility .It is
also good to keep grazing land other than fodder crops for goat farming.
Or for inclusion of perennial fodder crops, you may do following thingsFrom one acre (40R), per year 45 to 50 MT fodder will be produced, so 40 adult animals will be
managed form 1 acre of green fodder produced. For planning of balanced (Monocotyledons &
Dicotyledons fodder) throughout the year (If watering facility throughout the year is available),
following planning is required-
