James (Jim) Churchfield

James (Jim) Churchfield has
an amazing life that has never
been dull! Jim was born in
Detroit, Michigan, Jan. 4, 1930.
Jim remembers going to grade
school and high school in
Michigan. The best part of his
educational experience, he says,
was the snow days!
Jim has seven siblings and
remembers loving being a part
of a big family! Jim has five
children, four girls and a boy:
Vicki, Karen, Sandy, Becky and
Micheal. Jim also has so many
grandchildren he cannot
remember how many!
Jim is a veteran and served in
the Army during World War II!
After the Army he worked in a
warehouse, and his wife worked
in the social security office. His
favorite meal is steak tips. Jim
enjoys naps, socializing, puzzles
and listing to country music.

Claudia Castillo, Assisted

Living Caregiver
Claudia Castillo was born
August 17, 1992, in Indio,
California. Claudia has lived in
the Coachella Valley her whole
life!
Claudia is now attending
College of the Desert and is
working on her Registered
Nursing Degree. Claudia has
only three classes left until she
takes the test to become a nurse.
Claudia is thinking about
continuing her college education
after graduating.
Claudia is the second out of
four sisters. Claudias hobbies
include playing soccer, hiking,
running and spending time with
her family.
Claudia, we at Mission Hills
Senior Living would like to say
you will be an amazing nurse.
We also want to say
congratulations and that you
are a blessing for every staff
member and resident because
you touch everyones life in such

Alzheimers
Support Group
Zachary McCormick, a
certificated Alzheimers support
group leader, will be facilitating
our free monthly Alzheimers
Support Group. This group is
open to caregivers and family
members. The meeting will be
held 3 to 4 p.m. Saturday,
July 11.

Zachary loves working at

he feels like he has made a huge
difference. Zachary feels if it was
not for the many people who
helped him with his many
challenges he would not be who
he is. Zachary wants to give back
what has been done for him!
Dennis loves to work at
Mission Hills because he loves
to make the residents laugh, and
he feels that the residents teach
him something new every day.
Dennis also loves when the
residents make him laugh
and smile!
Dennis and Zachary, you are
a blessing to every resident and
